| 1. Obtaining visas -- The majority
of students from Eastern Europe and Africa are unable
to obtain visas into Western Europe or America. Thus,
for these students, there are very few available Bible
Colleges. Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe is located
in the central European country of Hungary, where east
meets west. We are uniquely based so that visas for students
from Eastern Europe and Africa are obtainable.
2. Keeping students in their home country -- Students
who do get visas into Western Europe or America tend
to stay even after finishing their education. Few return
to their home countries to minister. Students know
when coming here that this is not their final destination,
but just a stopping point on their way to doing whatever
the Lord has for them. Hungary is a safe and stable
country where students can come and study the Word
of God --- and then return home.
3. Helping students who can’t afford
college tuition -- The average monthly wage
for students of Eastern Europe and Africa is well
below $500 a month.
Though we are able to keep costs lower being in Hungary,
students still need financial assistance to cover tuition. |
