What is your family background? |
My family is Ethiopian Orthodox. They don't know about Christ on a
personal
level. I have wife and a teenage son. My wife and I accepted Christ in June
of 2005.

How did you come
to know Christ? |
While at competitions for boxing, many people told me about Jesus. One
audience member told me, "You are a gold medallist winner, but do you
know
where the real gold comes from? It comes from Christ." God was calling me
at
this time, but I ignored His voice. In June 2005 at a competition in South
Ethiopia, I shared a room with a Christian friend and he shared a lot about
Jesus. I went to his church in Addis Ababa. The pastor told the congregation
the reason that we live is not for ourselves but for God. Immediately I knew
this message was for me and my heart was broken. I said to God, "I am so
sorry God," and I received Jesus this day. From this point on, I knew that
life in God was much greater than my life before.

What is your future
vision upon finishing the Bible College? |
God brought me to this Bible College and has taught me so many things about
His Word and His voice that I never knew before. I want to go back to Africa
as soon as the political situation allows me to go because I have a heart to
serve in my country and in the neighboring country, Eritrea. I would like to
work with youth and use all of my old relationships in my country to share
about God's kingdom!

How has Bible
College impacted you thus far in your walk
with the Lord and in equipping you for the
future? |
I have learned about my salvation in Christ Jesus. I learned about God's
plan for my life and that He has a plan for every one of His children. It is
a great blessing to be able to study through the Word. God is speaking to me
through the lives of the apostles and servants in His Word every day.
